During this sweet spot between Christmas and new year, we’re planning parties and thinking about what we want from 2016. In our heads, we’re already ‘there’… But let’s not write off 2015 just yet.
Whether this year was bursting with blessings or you’re ready to leave it behind, the way you wrap it up, will influence how you spend the next one.
Before considering your new years resolutions, take time to notice how THIS year went for you. Say “thank you” for the good bits, accept the not so good bits and know that whatever happened, you’re going to be “better at life” after the year that was.
Name how you want to feel in the next few days and in the new year. Perhaps you want to be “clear and calm” and work backwards getting there: practising meditation, taking a bath, moving in a way which feels good, eat nourishing food you enjoy and be kind to yourself.
New years eve parties don’t have to undo the benefits of these gorgeous healthy practices… Sure let your hair down, dance and surround yourself with people who lift you and make you smile. If you allow yourself a little freedom, you’re way your less likely to gi overboard on the canapés and cocktails.
Kissing 2015 goodbye and welcoming 2016 with a clear head, without guilt, armed with a set of realistic healthy intentions, will put you on a path to design your best year yet.
